Step three:

Do something about it.

None of it is a movie for you two watch the scenes of go by. This Universe is something you're part of, not apart from. Know it. Understand it. Be it.

When you understand what is keeping you asleep... make a choice to not accept what is being fed to you. The sleeping pills shrouded in false senses of security. Reassurance in your government. Your locked windows. That padlock. The lights being off.

None of it is real. And just knowing that, you have a lot more power than you're letting yourself possess because you've been so desensitized of being in control. Why is that? Because you've been controlled your entire life.
The playgrounds weren't there to entertain you during recess, they were designed to harness your fear and get you used to predisposed obstacles for you to struggle to conquer. But all you really did was condition yourself to the prison they had planned for you. Not a prison like a penitentiary but one that you cannot feel or see or taste or touch. An infinite and evilly devised microcosm-net built to look like you need it.

To better let your mental immunity fight it, you need to identify it completely in all the nooks and camouflage it comes in. Economy, education, government, vehicle, home, carpet, desk, computer, internet, couch, family reunion, tupperware, insurance, daycare, 401k, retirement, pharmacy, birth control, hunting, cell phones, state borders, home security, patriot act, and census. You could probably fill in the rest.

Understand the reasons you're told they're all there and in their place in your life but allow yourself to explore the reasons they don't tell you why they're there.

Explore by taking off all the safety precautions you have on the way you think. All the biases you previously had, all the prejudices to information you've kept, let it all go. Let the doubt belong where it always should have been; in your oppressors. Become a skeptic but with a heavy influence of optimism. Stop believing entirely. Take every bit of information you happen upon with the conviction of a skeptic. Keep track of how coincidental it all seems when you stop and think about it... put together all the erroneous traits of the reality you've been given. Create the map of where you really are in all of it... Create the landscape of your prison. Notice all the lies and accoutrements.

You now look like you want to wake up.

Step two:

In any part of your day, try and sit or stand quietly somewhere with your eyes closed keeping your thoughts inward. Try and listen to your breaths or feel your heart beat... If you are unable to attempt so, you should understand what is bothering you. If nothing is bothering you, you should understand what you are feeling.

Is there something wrong with this picture?
Does it have colour? Does it have what we want to see? Does it need to be seen? Who composed this picture? Why does this picture look like our reflection? Do we really look like that?

The second step in any mode of waking up is to confirm that there is something wrong once shown something very well could be wrong.

Why can't you wake up? Any suggestions or observations?
What do you think is making you stay asleep? Are you being fed drugs or is your environment providing some sort of 'hand-cuffs' for your consciousness?

Do you know what drugs are? Drugs are any substance introduced to treat a diagnosis or prevent a disease.
Understand that though your world might be controlled by conditions, no one part is defunct of meaning when separated. If anything, conditions usually hide core reasons as to why something is or isn't as stated.

Drugs are then anything that exists physically. Would you like to consider 'thoughts' as a substance? "That which has mass and/or occupies space."

Actions have equations of mass. Does that mean it's still matter? An action, however described, is just as inert as the mass included in the equations used to underly an action. And if that seems off point, note to yourself that you cannot touch an action, pet an equation, or kiss a description. All of these are thoughts. Thoughts occupy the space between you and an action. An action may happen but it's not as valid as the thought of an action.

So you're obviously being drugged. The food you eat, the air you breathe, the thoughts you think. And your environment is your cage, every aspect of it a bar surrounding your soul's perimeter. But none of that is really keeping you asleep. You're keeping you asleep.
Nay. Your ignorance is keeping you asleep.

Why are you keeping you asleep? Because you don't know that there's something wrong with this place? Or is it the reason you can't feel anything when asked to take a moment and close your eyes and feel and be connected with yourself?

And that's just it. There is something wrong with this place. All the cogs spin at a precise pace but you know there's something sinister about that very pace. You can feel it. You've been shown it all your life. Your cognitive processes are filled with it and constantly being filled with it even now as you read this. It's in the cereal you eat, the weights you exercise with, the keyboard you share your feelings on, the air between you and the window you stare out of. You smile when you're told to. You behold the forced beauty it befalls upon you, all primmed and strategically placed to keep you dry and aesthetically bound to the very idea that hope is rare. But you are able to catch glimpses of what's really there. Something it cannot keep from you. The very something that makes it possible to wake up and once awake, this something in you can inspire the something in others. Hope then, is not a rarity but a gift.

Everything is false and nothing is true; all things are possible.

Step one:

Do you dream in colour?

Would you rather have the reality of your dreams or the reality of your senses? Can you tell the difference? Where do you feel like a superhero?

If you had a choice, an honest yes or no choice, would you stay asleep if asked to wake up?

Chuang Tzu dreamed he was a butterfly. But he also dreamed he was a man watching a butterfly. Which would you rather be? A fluttering consequenceless marvel of beauty and flight... or an ever destructive being taking a break from dreaming and sitting upon a meadow for a relaxing afternoon among flowers and butterflies?

To lightly reference the Matrix Trilogy... To wake up is to unplug. Decide right now what it is you're plugged into. What would you consider a model for being plugged in to be? Would you use the analogy of two metal prongs having been inserted into an outlet? A gas pump nozzle into your car's open gas tank? A penis in a vagina? The ball joint of your shoulder? A bullet into a revolver? A hand into a hand? Participating in a discussion? Dreaming of things provided by your daily experience of faces and stories?
If you can't decide... it should help then when suggested to you that any inescapable contact, direct or indirect, is you plugging in. When you're asked what love is... you plug into your memories via simply thinking. What you say is plugged into your cognitive and stem synapses that counter with your voice box using gathered air to vibrate. The sound plugs into the ears of who is listening and awaiting your answer, the walls in which you're speaking within.

But how to unplug? Wake up?

What is 'waking up'? Waking means to be alert, suddenly conscious. Conscious of what? That you were previously asleep? Or that you were so deeply plugged in that you were thoroughly integrated with what you were plugged in with to be convinced of anything else?

Up means completely or entirely in the phrase 'waking up'. Completely conscious. Do you think you're conscious now? Can you feel the room around you without thinking about it? Can you point north without looking out a window? Do you know what day it is without looking at a calendar? If you got only 2 out of the 4 questions above asked... then no. You're not awake.

You're between the dream state and awake. You're a drifting biomass whose inertia provides no external aid as to where your consciousness might teeter.

There's a lot to be aware of for you to wake up. So much that your immediate opinions regarding these symbols gathered neatly in lines and understood left to right are expected. And in saying that, you won't reply with said opinion. Who knows, maybe you'll be brave enough to get to Step Ten.
